The Silver Rose

This morning, we had a visit from one of the KoC's Silver Roses. This is one of 8 Roses traveling North America this year, (including Canada and Mexico). Each year, the Knight run 8-12 silver roses from Mexico to Canada and back, each taking different routes. By December 10, all 12 silver roses meet up at the shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe, bringing with them the prayers of all those who participated in the Silver Rose prayer services.

Rose #4 was in the area this weekend and was able to make a stop to pray with us today. It's now on its way to Cristo Rey Parish, and will be passed off to Ohio this evening. We are very grateful for the opportunity to pray with one of these roses today!

We are still out here every Saturday at 9am for a Rosary procession. We continue to pray as we patiently await the finalization of the Diocesan processes, which hopefully will allow us to make the church into a Shrine for the Victims of Abortion. As Rose #4 continues on its way, bringing our prayers to Our Lady of Guadalupe, we are encouraged and strengthened in our perseverant prayer.
