A few years ago, a group of pro-lifers, parishioners and UC bearcats, lead by the Franciscan Daughters of Mary, worked hard to clean and restore Holy Name Church. All that week we shined brass, polished wood, dusted EVERYTHING, pulled weeds, scrubbed walls, cleaned floors and more! We also moved the main altar and tabernacle to it's original position in the center of the sanctuary, removed the carpeted riser in the sanctuary, installed a freestanding altar and a volunteer even constructed a new, beautiful ambo! A few artists among us began restoring the stenciling around the top of the walls in the main body of the church -a process that took almost a year to complete.
