Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena

Each year from December 3rd to December 12th, a novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, lead by the Franciscan Daughters of Mary, takes place at Holy Name Church. Participants gather each day for prayer and a rosary procession to Planned Parenthood, followed by fellowship in the back of the church. The novena culminates on the 12th with a Mass at St. Monica- St George, part of the Uptown Catholic family, and is followed by a fiesta in the catholic center! Here are some highlights from this year's novena.

One of the most amazing things about this year's novena was that most of the participants in the daily prayers were 2 families. Two large families with small children that frequently volunteer at the sister's pregnancy care center, the Rose Garden Home mission. These families are awesome! They are teaching their children what it really means to be pro-life and they will grow up to be pro-life heroes just like their parents.
