Our Lady of Fatima

Each year beginning in may, a novena to Our lady of Fatima takes place at Holy Name Church. Every first Saturday after the weekly 8am pro-life Mass, a commissioned "Pilgrim Virgin" statue of our Lady of Fatima is processed from the church to the Planned Parenthood down the street, while participants pray 15 decades of the rosary. The novena culminates in October, when a Novena Pilgrimage is held. During the pilgrimage, Our Lady is placed in a bed of flowers on a pick-up truck and we have a car-procession to 5 different churches in Covington and Cincinnati, praying a decade of the rosary at each church. This unique tradition began during the covid 19 pandemic, when the sisters wanted to start an annual rosary rally, but were not allowed due to health concerns. We had such a great response from the faithful that we decided to continue the car-procession each year. Some years we have had up to 30 cars following Our Lady's pick-up truck!
